How do you decide which doll to get next?

Personally, if I find that I keep going back and looking at the doll, find myself thinking about it a lot when I'm contemplating dolls and basically just can't get it out of my head - then that's the doll I'm going to buy.

Megu-Chun was quite an insistent little thing and pretty much drown out other 'voices' (even Helen's big shell couldn't out shout her that time, they were candidates to shell a fave character). She didn't even give me the usual "Buy me. Buy me." vibe that most 'want' dolls give. I only seen her shop pics for that matter.

"Save up your money""?! Hahaha! That's what layaway is for!

For me, it comes down to two things. Either the doll calls out to me (like the Fairyland hippogriff did) or it fits one of my "characters".

She didn't have a layaway program and I had a fear of commiting to layaway since my job contract was nearing its end. It kinda helps since my POV since then became - .saving up for any dolls I want, if by the end of saving program I still want that doll, then all is good. Otherwise I should get that PC that I never buy..... well at least I would have cash in hand.

cost, layaway and rarity are the first factors i cover. though rarity and layaway are first. on the list. if its a limited doll how much time do i have before the doll is gone. i don't want to have to try and find them on the second hand market with a cost spike later. and whether or not layway is available. if it is then my chances of getting the doll sooner is better seeing how the fates always find a reason for me to dip into my savings. like friggin clock work. and of course cost is an strong factor. if i have a doll i love for a character, which isn't limited, but their cost would allow me to get two other doll characters as well...you see were that is going. as for my characters, i have quiet a few different stories going with my dolls. only a few characters seem to travel between all stories and all realms. so getting them in pieces is no problem from me. the 3 dolls i have (two at home and one i'm waiting to get done being made) none of them are from the same story. though two of the stories can be in the same universe.
