With the Disney princess parts filled my girls have looked in to other fairy tail princesses they'd like to be. Eloise is thinking Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz but the other girls haven't settled yet, they're considering stories like All-the-furs/Donkeyskin/Katie Woodencloak, East of the Sun West of the Moon, and The Three Arrows/Vasilissa the Beautiful/The White Cat, and Mother Hulda among others. There are visions of swans, Thumbelinas, and Claras in their heads too.

So we've got to read more and watch a few more episodes of The Storyteller.

I love Vasilissa the Beautiful. It is the story that got me into "pocket-sized" dolls. I have a beautiful picture book of it.

I have an old cartoon of it I found at the dollar store, come to find out it has many of the core themes to the animal bride story mostly about her skills and how clever she is and although he's embarrassed she's an animal the prince takes her home and is devoted to her anyway, something that's much better to teach than the prince just marries the most beautiful girl.

Dear manufacturers:
Yes, the full sateen lining in a 1/6 scale jacket is an amazing bit of tailoring. However, the chances of getting it over a shirt are next to nil. If I get it on over a shirt, the ability to pose the figure it's on is drastically lowered. While impressive miniature tailoring is nice, it still has to work or otherwise, I'll be spending my evening cutting it all out and cleaning up the bulky seam work you thought you had hidden.

P.S. After some thought, are you alarmed by ED falling asleep in the tub for no reason? She had reason, she'd just finished a 28 hour play date and had only gotten 2 hours of sleep. This is her normal modus operandi when friends come over, but now we know, no baths afterward, she can go to bed smelly!

I was alarmed over ED passing out in the tub. Even little kids can have "silent" cardio problems, though if they make it out of infancy those problems usually manifest when the kids are teens. There's been a rash of "healthy teenagers dropping dead" out here.

Blah... back awake at 2:00 AM. Woke up with a headache and had to go take something for it, so now I'm awake.

I was having a dream, probably inspired by re-watching Sora no Woto, where I had built this 1/6 scale town in my back yard and it was defended by a roughly squad-sized garrison of GI Joes and Obitsu girls. The town idea is obviously based on Mark Hogencamp's Marwencol, although I never got a really clear picture of what my town looked like. The girls all had uniforms that matched the male figures and I remember being impressed that I'd found such nice fitting clothes for them. That's a bit of a holy grail quest for me in real life.

Weird but also kinda cool and a bit inspiring.

Being held hostage by a day late UPS delivery literally waiting for my princes to come. Can't chance this neighborhood with anything of value left outside.

And with the passing out in the bath tub do you know if the water was very hot? Could be a contributing factor.
