Kizuna and Chitose (Now with NSFW!)

Tales of love, death and more angst than you can shake a stick at - plus some comedy thrown in for good measure.

I have to admit that .... I wonder if Finn wasn't living in that box all along.

This... is incredible! I just read through the entire story from beginning to the present. Well, okay, it's taken me two days, in two separate sittings.

I am genuinely impressed at the way you've created distinct, separate personalities for each of your Smart Dolls, and the two main characters, Kizuna and Chitose, in particular. (We're still getting to know Finn.) Almost equally impressive is how long you've kept the momentum going: coming up on three years! While their adventures are mostly silly and fun, these last few installments have been truly engaging on an emotional level, starting with the discontinuation of the Kizuna model and the arrival of Finn.

I really like the ongoing sarcasm (Kizuna's strength) and the underlying themes of friendship and affection. Even the "fan-service" scenes are sweetly endearing because the innocence (or, in Kizuna's case, the mercenary tendencies) of the girls ends up being the ultimate emphasis. The posing is so realistic and believable in every panel and every scene that the girls quickly become "living beings" in miniature scale living in a full-scale world.

My first Smart Doll arrived a few days ago. I have not yet had a good opportunity to unbox her. While I've been a member of this forum for a number of months now, I had not seen this story until a couple of days ago. It is quite a happy coincidence to stumble across this excellent, long-running photo-story just as I receive my first... because you know she's destined to be "the first" but not "the only"... Smart Doll.

Advantages to discovering the story now, rather than earlier, are that I am now more aware of and invested in the Smart Doll world; and, I was able to read 2-1/2 years of more or less weekly installments at one time. From this point forward, I shall have to watch and wait, week by week, like everyone else!

Thank you for creating and sharing the entertaining world of Kizuna and Chitose!

Also, the first of what will likely become many questions: those tall boots they wear... that both of them are wearing during the recent search & rescue mission... what are those, are they still available, and if so, where?
