I think it's hard to tell at first glance unless you notice the knees, which are the real giveaway.

Vel considers a cup of tea. Possibly as a bath

If that's a bath, it looks like poor Vel is that last in line from a big family!

(And yes, the knees were the giveaway! Otherwise, the Frightfully Tall versions are remarkably accurate 'scaled-up' versions of the originals.)

She's a Fairy. She makes a bath anywhere with milk :P

(They really are, makes you wonder if they ever considered that knee joint for the normal versions of the dolls...)

Thirteen is just always so pleased to meet someone brilliant.

It's a nice piece of clothing, and surprisingly well made for the scale.

Sorry, Vel, the outfit isn't for you, it's all a bit too big.

... Maybe next time, if I find some Sparkle Girls stuff...

"Look, Brother, I have found you new glasses."
"...Why do I put up with you?"
"Because if I did not tease you, there would be no fun in your day."

(Shuri and her big brother, T'Challa, King of Wakanda, and current Black Panther. T'Challa is one of the 12" Marvel Legends figures. He's not as heavy as Captain America and is more modelled on the MCU actor for his unmasked head piece. I do like this little line. The glasses are from a Barbie fashion pack and they fitted him perfectly. So obviously, it had to be done.)

"I'm Amber Dreary, and this is my family. My eldest sister, Evangeline, and my twin siblings, Agnes and Viktor. We take a family portrait every December. Mum and Dad are currently off on a work trip, but we still took the picture. Evangeline is going to send it to them as part of their Christmas gift."

Image
"We live in this old manor that's been passed down in the family for generations. That means we've got a lot of old stuff hanging around. Even these dresses! We found them in the attic and thought it would be funny to take a picture in them. They're made a heavy material, and mine is really long."

Image
"I'm not really one for long dresses, but it was fun for a little bit. I wondered which of our relatives this belonged to - the Dreary line is pretty long. I had to do a family tree project for school and I was able to trace back at least eight generations... and then I realised I was way too much over the allotted word count. The manor's been in the family at least that long. Maybe longer."

Image
"Evangeline, on the other hand, adores long dresses. And gowns. She's got the right type of frame for them, I think. The coat was found in the attic too. We've got trunks of stuff up there. Mum likes to go through it during the winter, something to do on the cold days."

Image
"Violet isn't really a family member, but she's been friends with Evangeline long enough that she might as well be. She's a singer in an old style jazz lounge, so her work wear is pretty much the gown type. Her voice is AMAZING. I wish I had her level of talent. She's also just a really nice person, and she stays at the manor pretty often - it's nearer her work than her flat. She won't move in properly, though, even though we've got the room. I don't think I'll ever understand that."

I love the wide array of dolls you have, and all the fun they get up to! So many new adventures.

I quite like Anne (with an e of course). She's lovely, and I'd like having her in doll form as well.

How did I miss a Life in the Room post? Not paying attention, I guess.

Evangeline is quite a glamorous creature of mystery!
