So much awesome history in this episode! Fascinating stuff.
And it ended on a rock and roll note - excellent!

Yes, the staircase is the only part of the beach house I was able to save when I moved a couple (as in, three and a half) years ago. I keep meaning to try to rebuild the beach house. In fact, I recently (genuinely recently, as in a couple of weeks ago rather than months or years ago) purchased some craft supplies with this very project in mind. Well, among several other projects in a variety of scales I also have in mind.

So do I! That's why I'm posting this "archival" story!

The Elvis part: awesome, indeed! The rest... eh, they try to get you to think it's awesome if you visit Hawaii.neon_jellyfish wrote:Dark, blood-soaked history! Bees! Architecture! Rock 'n' roll! Some TV show I've never heard about! This episode has everything!
'Zactly! The good stuff!
The TV show you've never heard of was a reality show about a bounty hunter; that is, somebody who tracks down and arrests fugitives who are on the lam from the law. In one episode they arrested my next-door neighbor. Yeah, Hawaii is that kind of place.richila wrote:When you rebuild that beach house, please post a tutorial.
That would be fun. I shall (try to remember to) do that.

The Adventures of Pinky Street Mima in Hawaii – Part 10 – Honolulu, Baby, Part 2
*One of the names was mentioned in the previous panel. The other two became Hollywood actors,
and both portrayed jungle hero Tarzan of the Apes! While Johnny Weismuller is probably the most famous 'Tarzan' of all, Buster Crabbe is better remembered for his portrayal of sci-fi character Flash Gordon.
