Is anyone doing Top Ten toys of 2010? I already begun with two of my entries... Check it out with my sexy LJ tags

Well I tried but I couldn't think of anything new that I'd bought this year. I was thinking about doing a sarcastic list to "celebrate", i.e. mock, all of the odd figures of questionable taste that have come out in 2010 (not one but two versions of Hitler, for example ).

Reading your review of the Liv Girl line did make me wonder if my niece Sam, the one other doll fanatic in the family, would be interested in them.

Get her a Liv, if I didn't have access to the Obitsus I'd have a few more. The wig changing thing alone is half the fun, especially for girls.

@David: like, 1/6 hobby Hitlers? I never really found those weird since D.I.D/etc make figures of all kinds of notable people from history, so I don't think it's much different that a Stalin or Winston Churchill or what have you. Plus Joelanta last year had an awesome diorama that put a Hitler to good use (basically, a bunch of Alies storming a made-up Nazi base. Hitler was in the process of being shot up rather nicely ).

Reminds me, why the butt haven't I started on Giren yet?! I need a smug evil dictator with enough charisma to cure all WOW players of their lack of ability to crawl out of the basement

I'm terrified (okay, more like reticent) to start my first full face-up because it's so fricking cold! I will be using the Vallejo spray that I got from JunkySpot which doesn't have quite the strict temp requirements that MSC has, but . . . ack! FEAR OF TOTAL SCREW-UP! *whimper*

Yeah! I thought it would be funny-but-twisted to present them as if it were a kid's play line, like "My Little Hitler".

But yeah... while on the subject, why haven't there been any other WW2 era world leaders? I've always though it would be neat to have a figure of Churchill in the famous "gangster" pose and he could debate Pinkie over what a proper martini is (she being a vodka and vermouth fan).

And speaking of dictators, I've got to get back to work on Chancellor Stahl. I've got all the parts I need, except maybe some extra "bling" for his jacket. I just need to finish getting the glue/paint residue from the iron eagle off his hat and change his shirt. There may also be a few other design tweaks but nothing that would prevent him from being finished.
