1: A is for Addams



A family, a clan, and ever growing in the Room. An aim for this year is to hopefully find and bring in the Mattel Addams Family Giftset at a reasonable price. Debatable on whether they would be unboxed if I managed to do it.

My Addams Clan is forever growing. Honestly, that the family is so canonically varied means there's great scope to have a lot of fun within it.

I was genuinely surprised to see that Munkustrap made it to the top nine, but maybe it was just a case of the right timing when posting it. The CATS movie trailer had recently come out, I believe. (I don't usually time photos like that, as you know.)

I think the Emily would be right up your alley, as would a doll of Morticia, but I'm not sure what else... Cheshire Cat?

If you can only manage a weekly challenge, then I encourage you to post a ADAW challenge for the year and join our insanity! If anything, it's a fun little thing to do and helps keep you active with your collection. Though seeing the amazing photo-shoots you do with your dolls, I don't think you need any help that way ^^

My wish-list is honestly more "these are ones I would get if money were no problem." There's one or two on the list I could consider fesible, if a bit on the higher end of the scale price, but most are just me going OOH I LIKE and daydreaming. Maybe I should re-name the list 'daydream'

2. B is for BMR1959



Part of the new Mattel collector's line that apparently focuses on a new fashion trend. Honestly, I just thought they looked ridiculously 90s and it made me want them, lol.

I've called them Billie and Kira, respectively. Billie is a professional cyclist, and Kira is an arts student.

I can't pretend I get this fashion style, but yay for more MTM Barbies and for the braids!

A cycling jersey? A yellow jersey, the maillot jaune, no less? I might need to get that figure simply for the cycling uniform.

What is this BMR fashion trend? Is it a real thing, or something made up for Barbie? By the time I figure out what it is, it will be on its way out, that's almost a certainty.

Anyway. if you're still in this stage, continue dreaming and looking until you find the doll that is right for you. Especially if you want to go on the higher end. I had a few regrets with fullset dolls that couldn't stand up to a bunch of customs, where as a cranky little Neemo could
