Since nobody bought the Barbies, Stardust decided that she deserved the clothes and jewels. I can't argue with her, she looks lovely in this dress and it fits her perfectly. I don't want to pierce her ears, so Barbie did get to keep the shoes and earrings!
It's all about Hazel!

The dress is from the Barbie Duchess of Diamonds "Royal Jewel" collection. They are very high end dolls from a while ago. Stardust is a Soom (Sparkling Forever Uyoo) monthly doll. The gown was sewn onto the Barbie, but is nicely finished inside. I just need to add some hook and eyes. I will be mugging all four of the collection. I do like the Barbies, so I will probably keep the dolls, toss the boxes, and pack them down into a more manageable box. They didn't keep their value, sadly. I don't know why.

That set is from the point where Mattel had discovered the adult collector and over-produced their collector dolls. Collectors ran to get the "limiteds" before anyone else could, then discovered that they were "limited" to "as many as we can shove out the door."
