(Considering recent developments I almost didn't post this. But I wanted to share it to hopefully take our minds off of less pleasant things.)

Thank you for the responses. I fully intend to do a more elaborate Hinamatsuri setup next year when all this crazy is in my rearview, but for a job with limited resources, it didn't turn out badly at all.

I think this is my favorite of Cherry's "kimono-of-the-month" robes so far. I made one of the same material for her Barbie-sized shell and I wanted to remake it for her new size, but it took me forever to find the right material. I found all kinds of pretty stuffs, but I specifically wanted the pink-blossoms-on-blue-field print I had used before. I think it works even better in 1/4 scale.

I have enough material to monthly-kimono it through July. After that, I'll order fabric by mail if I have to. Hopefully things will be more normal by then.

...I have very skewed priorities, don't I?

It looks lovely! (The display and the kimono.) I've wanted to make a hinamatsuri set for one of my girls for a long time, but I haven't ever found the time . . .

Lovely display and kimono! I love celebrating the Hina Matsuri. I’m very happy to see Cherry enjoys it too!
