OOAK Dorothy, Warrior Queen of Oz

Postby kenaiqueen » Tue Aug 04, 2020 8:17 pm

Finally, after much procrastination, I have finished my Dorothy outfit. I based it on the Dorothy character from the Once Upon A Time tv series, but didn't go for an exact replication...just too impossible. However, I think I've caught the flavor of the costume and I think she looks like she could kick some butt! I wish I could remember the different patterns I altered to use, but the vast majority of it was all fudged anyway. The sword is from Hot Topic, the Wonder Woman hair picks. It's actually metal and cool as heck. Her shoes are the silver slippers from the original story, not the technicolor replacements that Hollywood did.

I'm terrible with hair, so I just did some braiding to hold it back to look like she could actually fight.

On to the next partly finished doll project LOL!

She looks good there's a certain air to her. She seem like the herbalist who is expecting trouble in the forest on one of her gathering trips.

Thank you all! She was a great find and after I finish up with my warrior women, I'm going to make her a court outfit in some kind of green for Oz.
