The black dress was last year's doll and she sitting at around $300 on ebay these days. I got this years, the white dress, almost bridal one. Had to pay $120 for her but retail is $75 so she's not cheap to start with. It was free shipping too, so they made less profit on me since I'm in the Alaska boonies. I'll post pics when she shows up.

No pics yet, but managed to snag one of the BTS dolls my last Amazon order. The one with the pink and blond hair. Plans to OOAK him into Genesis Rhapsodos from Final Fantasy 7. For the record, they're somewhere between Peace (Twilight barbies) and Nostalgic (that blond curly-haired doll from the Hunger Games) in skin tone, but after popping the head off the neck isn't going to be easily cross-compatible with any of the mattel dolls. Shame, could have done even more with these with swapping options.

The 32" Disney Rapunzel doll arrived and I'm not in love. Will be returning her on Monday. However, the special edition Holiday Ariel is due the day before my birthday so I'm expecting she will be a more satisfactory gift for me.

My or may not have spent $70+ on a mini tree and ornaments for it today . . . It's been so long since I bought anything for my dolls, though, and I've wanted a tree for them for so long . . .

I would have said hit with a frying pan, but I'm just that much of a Disney freak! At any rate, she's gone as of today and I expect the new, better doll any minute now. It seems this new Ariel is just the first of a set of holiday princesses, so I'm excited to see her. She's also special edition, not limited edition so any new ones won't be too hard to get.

In other news, the Mattel Harry Potter dolls I've been collecting have put out some new ones. I was going to finally get Cedric yesterday and I found that they've released Luna and Snape! Had to have them, so Ceddy is back on the want list. I think the Snape is pretty good looking altho I have to admit they did a really good job with Cedric's face.

I bought the Barbie Katherine Johnson (HIdden Figures) from the Inspiring Women line. She arrived this week, and looks pretty darn good. I'm very impressed with her immaculate 50s era work dress.



Really good tailoring there.
