Pinkie's Christmas Greetings

"Miss Pinkie" just wanted wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe, prosperous and happy New Year.

I pointed out to her that not everyone here at Dollieh Sanctuary celebrates Christmas per se, so she offered a Happy Hanukah as well. I then mentioned that it's not just Jews and Christians here but by that point, she muttered something I couldn't quite make out, then said "OK, fine! Whatever they celebrate in America then, I hope they enjoy it, or not, depending on what they're supposed to do." Then she said "let's go get a drink".

Do you think I should remind her that not everybody here is American? :?

P.S. Her blog has been updated (hence the reason for the photo) with news of some big changes coming soon. LINK

"Happy Holidays Pinkie and co" Obi-Chun and co wishes her.

While I'm not Christian, my mother's side of the family is, so technically I celebrate when I go visiting.

Thanks y'all! I hope everyone here does have a happy holiday... whatever holiday you celebrate!

One thing that I don't play with often enough is the cultural backgrounds of my characters. People from Pinkie's (fictional) home country of Aventine have a reputation for being blunt and culturally insensitive. While the truth is, as usual, more complex, it's an aspect of their national character that I like to have fun with.
