For rats nests try taking one lock/curl of hair at a time and comb it out from the bottom up. You might want to hold on to the hair to keep it from being pulled at the roots.

Here we are, post wash. It's very floofy.

Since I do many things well and hair is not one of them, I just did some quick braids and pulled them back. The hair clips came in a set of hair stuff for babies I got from Wally world.

As usual, I liked her second outfit better. The tall boots in the first outfit are actually skates with blades on the bottom. These little boots were an unholy bitch to get on! I finally heated them and slit the back down further to make them work. I'd be mad if I'd paid full price and I'm kinda sorry I didn't get the first one. At that price tho, she was okay. My final for this particular iteration of this doll is a do not recommend unless she's really cheap to buy.

I like what you did with the braids, though!

Hi everyone. My name is Mary Kathryn and I am completely obsessed with Rainbow High. I've somewhat been on a dolly hiatus but I'm back collecting these gals hardcore. I am so impressed with the quality compared to what Mattel has been schlocking out. Not all of the Mattel dolls, but a lot of them. But for sure the clothes. I cannot express how sad printed plastic fabric has made me.
I did try to resist but It was Amira's fault. She was the first one I broke down and bought.

I will share my reroots. I have a whole bunch now. I'll start a reroot thread in the 1/6 section. In the meantime, here are just a few of my gals chilling on my desk.

Your girls look nice, Mary Kathryn. Are those custom-made clothes on them? I'm also obsessed with RH, but partly because my financial situation. They are much less expensive than the Smart Dolls I covet.

I finally got around to fixing a belt on my Gabriella Icely doll that I hated. I just felt that the beads on it were a) ugly and b) way out of proportion. Here is the belt before my makeover:

And here she is with a new belt and matching earrings/necklace:

She back on her shelf now with the rest of the rainbow. Can't wait for the next wave. I'm lusting after the pale yellow and the bright orange girls. Still planning on getting an Amaya off ebay sometime soon too.

Tam I am wrote:Actually, even though the names are similar, I don't think the taller dolls are the same characters? I know they came out a long time before the smaller girls. They don't have a lot of joints, but I have Amethyst Rae (redressed), and I love her, even though her big head makes her look some weird.

Is it true on the smaller girls that you need to operate to get the knees to be double jointed?

I have two of the Junior High girls, and their joints are better than the regular ones! Some arrive a little stiff, and there might be flash in the joints that needs to be cut out, but overall, they're pretty great!

I'm really hoping for more Jr. high dolls.
