Tech Layoffs, Again...

No new dollies for me for the next few months. The large company my husband worked for laid off thousands of people, and that included him... It was nothing against him, companies just layoff people so they can show a profit to stock holders, every time... I kinda knew this was coming, so I stashed a lot of money into the savings account, so we'll be fine, but it's still a bit of a bummer...

I hate this. I've had a couple of friends this has happened to. "Let's put money in the pockets of our stockholders by taking it from our employees......." One friend's husband was laid off 2 times in one year - then rehired both times. It completely disrupted their lives in the interim, though.

I'm sorry you are going through this and hope it gets better soon.

Update: hubby starts his new job in a week. And he got a few weeks off to relax. He couldn't relax while he was job hunting, it took over his every waking thought. But they offered him the job, and he got some time to actually really unwiind. An early Christmas gift for the both of us really.
