She has molded on boots. Look up Cathy Hansen dolls, she's a ca 2000 Canadian doll artist guild replica and they show up now and again. The seller at the doll show didn't even know what she was, I just knew she wasn't that old (I don't want a real one) and was coming home with me.

I know part of the thing is when I'm dividing the waist measurement in to quarters I will round up at times. This is easier to deal with on a larger doll but when truing up the patterns and adding seam allowances it can get a bit wonky. Take in the darts and the pink dress will be fine.

One thing I've discovered with listings for one of these little ladies is they are misattributed, one was called a Seely, but at least they're listed as replicas and reproductions. You just have to look for 8-9 inch ladies with cloth or leather bodies, can't miss the all white bodies.

I made a replica china head out of paper clay. She's from the 1830 Susan Sirkis Wishbook. This was a quick outfit from one of her other books, the jacket isn't quite finished, but most of her patterns are about the same general size.

Made the dart seams thicker which looks to have done the trick for the pink dress. Also took the waist band off the skirt, made it smaller, and changed how it's gathered for a better shape but not finished yet.

I REALLY like that color on her. In the pictures, it looks almost the exact shade as her rouge, which is absolutely something I can imagine a lady of the era doing.

I once had access to a book with similar doll instructions in it! I never made the doll, but I sized the clothes patterns down to fit a soft bodied barbie doll.

She's not wearing any rouge, she's blushing from the compliments. She's a perfect example of taking the doll to the store to get the perfect colors.

In real life the pink does match her complexion, I also have a beige with teeny weeny roses fabric that will look splendid on her. Half the fun with her is find authentic looking fabrics in tiny enough prints. Most of her choices are mottled solids like the pink.
