If you're on the shorter side the widest part of your calf is also lower which would make boots not fit you too.
I hope you find a pair that fits!

Kattriella wrote:It might not even be that your calves. I've noticed that companies are starting to make their tall boots REALLY narrow compared to what most people would consider normal. I think because we're reentering that "thin is in" mindset because of all the weight loss drugs that are becoming more easily available.

If you're specifically looking for shoes to fit a wide calf, there's a website called Torrid that might help. My mother used to buy all her wide calfed boots.

Oh I know Torrid. It’s also a physical store. There’s one in the mall, although sometimes when I look there it’s closed for some reason. I’ve bought clothes there many times. They’re a bit pricy though so I don’t shop often or I wait for a sale. Maybe when I return these boots to Boscovs I’ll stop in at Torrid and see if it’s open and if they have anything interesting.

And happyknot, I am actually on the short side (5’3), so maybe there’s something to that, too!

There is something to be said about the thinner calves thing.... I've lost 40 lbs over the past year (most of it because of my diabetes med), but apparently it didn't affect my calves. I wanted to replace my favorite gray jeans (they are loose!!) but the new ones nearly cut the blood flow to my calves.

I walk and am on my feet all day, so my calf muscles are jacked. Cute knee boots just aren't in my future because the wide ones are usually wide all the way around, so they are too wide at the top. The course of not fitting the "standard" body type, I guess.

OH? I started reading some fanfic of him and watching reviews of the comics featuring him.
I get the impression that like me, a lot of people believe he's capable of a development arc where he'll become a better person.
As it stands folks seem pretty disappointed when it turns out not to be true, repeatedly.
I'm with the people waiting for a story arc where he becomes a better person somehow lol! In the meantime I love him, even when he's being pretty stupid lol!

I did end up purchasing a smaller non transforming starscream figure. It says it will be here at the end of January.

The postal strike in my country seems to be over, and not for good reasons unfortunately, but I am a little glad it means my fancy Starscream might be coming home soon.

Many of my Screams are good. Several are ladies instead of guys. One is thousands of years in the future and a planetary governor, wife, and mother (two daughters, youngest just as prone to screaming fits as Starscream used to be).
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

I just spent an obscene amount of money on a genuine zero gravity chair, the kind the back stores sell.

OTOH, it was less than a good laptop, and my old chair lasted 20 years.

I had to look it up to see if it was one of those massage chairs that strap you in. I can't deal with those (nearly had a meltdown trying one out at a home show when it wouldn't release my legs).

It's stupidly expensive but so good on my back I can fall asleep in it.

This is basically the old one.

I am not paying that for a chair, I got a--not a knock-off, but an alternate brand that doesn't think people are made of money.

A black and red Chinese lion marionette to keep the light blue and white one I bought while we were moving in company. They need to be restrung so they'll move better but I guess their luck is still working.
