A Chinese New Year Shoot

Postby Iwa_Hoshi » Fri Feb 04, 2011 6:05 pm

Its Chinese New Year and one of the tourist spot(Sentosa) had a flower festival going on. I amanaged make it and Megu-Chun gets a her debut group outing shoot done.

Waiting around. Only managed to make 2 new outfits for 1/6ers

Had to rush a new blouse. My two Chuns are wearing quilting cotton fabric

While I was processing my pics I notice my 1/6ers are in 'auto interactive mode', Megu-Chun was carrying them and their arms and attention was all over the place. I had to do minimal fiddling.

WHoa! Amazing shoot. I love the ppl watching in the background too. I don't know if I have the guts to go out and do a shoot. It's also freezing where I am right now. Happy Chinese New Year btw and thanks for your welcome in the intro section. I have to make some clothes for my dolls but i'm....not so certain of my sewing skills hahah...so I guess maybe something simple first. Your clothes look great. I have trouble making something that works. What do you use for fasteners on 1/6 clothes?

Slowly work it up till you feel better about shooting outdoors, we have to start somewhere.

My sewing skill is amateurish compared to some of the awesome folks here. I bluff and hide my way through an outfit to get a close representation. Once you start to sew for your dolls, it opens a new catalog of clothes for your dolls (especially if you're into anime /video game /comics /period costume/jmovies)

short-cut qiapo version 1. Version 2 is what Megu-Chun wears and I haven't compile it yet
Bodysuit tutorial

Mainly I use zippers(something like this or what's available in craft stores) for the qiapos, I can't find thinner Velcro so I used stud buttons (Megu-Chun's blouse)
