Spring Bouquet (disaster)

Postby Geektopian » Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:21 am

Shockingly, I am neither much of a floral arranger nor it seems, much of a photographer!

Anyway, here's Naomi, another of my Obitsu 25 cm with pre-painted head figures, trying to look cute and "springy" as her bouquet wilts and falls apart. The photo turned out oddly blurry too, which you'd expect from a higher end "pro-sumer" DSLR, right? Enjoy my disaster! :?

This was originally supposed to be done with the sakura from one of my Yoshino cherry trees but they didn't look so good (OK, they were dead). I opted for some of the numerous tiny wildflowers from my yard. I'm not sure what the white flowers are but my front yard is covered in them; the yellow are a tiny dandelion and the purple are wild violets, both from my back yard.

I don't think it looks too bad. Although the flowers are a little... dead. Lol.

Yep, the flower death happened pretty fast, too. Maybe 15 minutes from the time they were cut until this photo was taken. The mini dandelions are the worst offenders while the violets and the little white flowers held up OK.

At the very least, I guess I've learned something about 1/6 scale flower arranging.

Thanks for the encouragement! You gotta admit though that the drooping flowers are kinda funny.

Lol and the angle that the picture was taken from kind of makes her look angry about the dead flowers!

'Strangled Flowers' - It's a great look! I like the effect of the in focus flowers and out of focus girl. What's wrong with that? She's annoyed that the flowers are the focal point and has therefore sucked the life out of them, nearly. *ggg*
