Here's a link to Tonner's own page showing their newly unveiled dolls. The new AMs look interesting. 22-inch, inset eyes, wigs, articulated arms/wrists and $159.00 for a basic.

The Freedom for Fashion guys are interesting. The head used for Jasmine doesn't look anything like Jasmine but it is so cute.

Ah! Thanks for reminding me. I totally forgot! XD
I really want the Tangled Rapunzel doll but she's a little too much for me.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Am I wrong for thinking those It's a Small World dolls look utterly creepy??? They look like little international Chuckys

Oh gee, look, another Wonder Woman....I can think of so many DC females that would make great dolls - why is it always Wonder Woman? (yes, I did look further and I know there are others - I'm pleasantly surprised that they did Starfire and Raven)

Mature Anna Marie is wondering if the Jessica Rabbit dress would fit her.

She'd have to pry it out of Sherris' cold dead fingers first.

I found the Small World dolls rather shocking at first but its slowly wearing off.

I never followed comic book heros as a kid. Most of...hmmm, maybe all of what I know about them comes from TV shows and movies. Scrolling down the page I saw serveral I've heard of but know nothing about and a few I've never heard of. I'm sure those dolls are all about character recognition.

Now, off to google Dove. She's pritty but I've never heard of her.

Actually, it might. The thing is held up by transparent straps of a stretchy mono-filament. The body underneath is a 17-inch (41cm-ish) body, but she's busty and hippie. The biggest difference between that body and a mature 50cm is more than likely the legs. Misheru has a Jessica Rabbit, with dress, so we may be able to try it on someone to see about the body fit.

Well, the nice thing about Wonder Woman is that there is a 22-inch version this year. That costume should fit an Obitsu (*not* the slim 60, the normal soft body might work) or Volks DDdy, or at least come close enough not to matter.

The biggest thing Tonner has done with the larger dolls is the arm articulation. Previously the 22-inch ladies didn't have articulated wrists, and their hands were far more mannequin like. The hands are more expressive now, and the articulated wrists are a huge improvement. Combine that with inset eyes and wigs and they become a far more realistic proposition for vinyl collectors of larger ladies.. No where near as pose-able as an Obitsu or Volks, but close and if you're not confident on doing your own face up, the American Models come with a decent standard face too.

Tonner is improving in a number of ways. Still I wish that they wouldn't throw so much emphasis on the slim 16-inch Antoinette body and on all their Tonner Character Figures. It means that they don't pay near enough attention to Miss DeeAnna Denton.
