on the search for the perfect me...

Yeah, well this is cross-posted..from that *other* doll website, but it's so huge that my thread is often over looked. I like you guys better anyway. xD

---

SO, I was thinking that... I'd really like to make a doll based on myself so that I can always be with my dolls and have someone to hang out with. (lame right? haha)

I was thinking maybe a DZ Annie, but one of my friends said DZ Hal...so now I'm not sure. The friend that said that isn't really a doll person so I was thinking maybe they just said that because in the promos he has blonde hair, freckles and blue eyes. I think that face might be to young though. Just wanted to know what you guys thought...

WARNING, bespectacled dork ahead~!

These were all taken several years ago when I was around 13-14 years old, I think that's what age I'd like the 'doll-me' to be. Any size doll is fine, doesn't have to be a spitting image, just maybe some traits or so. :) ALSO, doesn't have to be a smiley sculpt, haha I hardly ever smile, just in photos it seems. xD

Let me know your ideas! 8D

Wow, You're super pretty. I don't really have any doll recommendations but I feel like depending on the faceup there are a bunch that would look like you as a lot of dolls seem to have Caucasian features. I think it really depends on the mood of the sculpt. You're smiling in all of these photos so would you want a smiley doll?

Also, Are you looking specifically for 1/4th scale. I would say looking at your skintone, that a lighter skin doll would fit well. What is your price range. Looking at your chin shape, it seems some of the D.I.M. dolls might work but they have a much more childish body these days so I'm not sure if you want that or a slimmer body type.

Edmon has a similar eye (his eyes slant up a bit more than yours but I'm sure you can paint him so they look more like yours) and chin shape but his nose is different. And yeah he's a boy but maybe you can get him on a girl body.

For body I'd go with the 25cm Obitsu Female Child Doll Small Bust Fleshtone [With Magnet]. Which is only $28.00 at Junky Spot.
What type of look of the face are you going for? Anime or real?

I think you have kind of an Iplehouse look to you. They make beautiful, delicate face sculpts. A lot of it depends on your budget, of course. I would suggest that you go with the doll that doesn't necessarily LOOK exactly like you, but more captures your spirit or one that you really, really relate to emotionally.
By the time you add a wig that looks like your hair, eyes that are your color, freckles and so forth, the doll will look like you. But I say for the base doll herself, rather than trying to match your features exactly, go for the doll that really grabs your heart.
Here is a link to Iplehouse in case you're interested.

LOL thanks, but I don't look like that anymore! xD I'm all fat and flabby...but my double chin is almost gone! xD I gained so much weight when I had my baby. I gained like 60lbs. !

Hehe, I'm not really sure. I don't think I really have a price range, well I mean I wouldn't spend a exceeding large amount on a head. So I guess I do have a limit...hmm around $100 I suppose.

I've already got the body figured out, I want to do a hybrid, with all my favorite parts from different companies...Feet from a minifee for sure! Resin soul torso. Some souldoll pieces..an on going project. ;)

I want like an equal mix between the two, so it'll be able to blend well with my others. I have a Megi, Hid and Shiwoo (who is getting head swapped to be a IS Zhuqing soon) So nothing too terrible realistic, and nothing super "kawaii anime".

@cirquemom: YES. I love your answer. It's a very good one, it drives my heart to find the right one. ;)

Boy that sounded cheesy.

WOW. Tatiana and Tania are both so beautiful. *___* Your doll is beautiful also. I will diffidently consider either of those. Iplehouse are very nice, I saw one in person a few years back at a meet, I've never seen such butt joints before. xD They are really amazing and just beautiful in person.

Oh! I love your Frankenstein idea and like cirquemom said the hair and eyes will bring a lot of the likeness to the doll. Good luck!

Planet Doll's Emma has a sweet face with a similar facial structure. I adore Planet doll, their prices are reasonable and Denver Doll and Obie Doll usually have them in stock.
