DK, you are extremely "crafty" so why not look into learning how to do bookbinding yourself?

Then find someone who has a printer that can print out at small poster size (11X14) or large poster size (27X40). In the case of the second, gang your pictures for 2 pages horizontal at 13.5X20 and fold in half. Larry has a printer that size, for instance. You might find that one of the local vo-tech schools has one, and would be willing to print your pages for you for a nominal cost to train their vo-tech students.

Then take your printed pages and bind them yourself.
All you damn kids get offa my lawn!

I know how to basically bind books, this would be too big for me to do at this time. And we have a printing discount for Office Depo. There's still a good 6 more months on the passes and we already have 1000s of pics. For now I'm playing with the 11x13 landscape on Blurb and the holiday pics. Right now it's just figuring out if it'll even be feasible.

If the test prints to see if the night shoots come out too dark it's off any way. I lightened them at different levels, did some filters, hope for the best.

Why can I not look at a project and say that it's done? XD I've been sewing for Dove to take her to my anime con, and so I made her a dress, and a bag, and a petticoat to hold out the dress, and just when I thought I was done I decided to sew on a bit of trim for a waistband on the dress and make a wrap with ruffles on the ends out of a bit of lace...! Clearly I am mad. XD I'm so glad con's tomorrow.

And I still haven't finished the last piece for the bag, I didn't get around to making a shoulder strap because my mom had a bunch of unused purse straps. Yeesh.

Done? What's done? My dolls and writing projects don't know the meaning of the word done. You just have to reach a "stopping place" where enough is done that you can let it rest and come back with fresh eyes. If people get what the outfit is supposed to be, the average good natured person not the anal troll, then you're done.

This is one of the "dark" pictures I'm using to see what it would look like printed out at Office Depot, their prints come out very similar looking to Lulu's color wise. I've done up a sheet with different filters etc. Photograph nuts will want to plan their Disneyland trip when they have their holiday time because they go all out in New Orleans Square. This is looking down the street where Pirates lets out, the second building with the blue lights is the Blue Bayou restaurant which is in the load area for Pirates. Down the street to the right is the Court of Angels, further along would be the train station, French Market restaurant, then the Haunted Mansion.

Sigh

I know I've not been active on any of the forums this past month after my step-dad died, but I swear - if it weren't for the friends I've made at the local meet-up group and the Marketplace, I'd never return to DOA again!

After a couple of week of not even going into the MNF thread, I went in and read that a couple of other people had some trauma in the lives this week (including a lady who miscarried) and they were asking for spam of certain MNFs as pick-me-ups. So I piped in that I hadn't been active on the forum since my step-dad passed, that I wasn't even sure I mentioned that I received my new ShuShu elf or had taken any photos of her to share yet. Then I added a wish for those who were experiencing their own grief.

What do I get the very next day? A notification of post deletion from a mod which included this - Sorry for your loss. Please keep discussion about the dolls.

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Didn't I mention my MNF in the post? I went back and the posts from the other two were missing as well!!!

I CAN'T STAND those mods!

::hugs:: Stinky mods! That's a bit over the top. >.>
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

How out of control must their sad and boring lives be? I hardly post, just the occasional General Discussion and I look at the picture requests I can help on. Well, when they find themselves in need they will find the exact amount compassion they have given to others.

I found a few threads to hide in otherwise, I never post. Thankfully the meet up discussion can be almost completely OT! :P

Actually, a couple of times a mod has slapped our hands for going off topic in the meet-up thread. When we asked about starting a thread like the Over 30/50/fill-in-the-blank threads (which is often off topic), we were told they didn't have the space for something like that and to create our own forum . . . .

Well I can certainly promise people that such a thing will NEVER occur here :) That's what the Let's Talk area and it's threads are sort of for - the occassional OT stuff that we feel like bringing up because hey, we like to think we are all friends here :)

And on an off topic (so to speak) WHAT THE HELL COLOR IS PAPRIKA???? Personally, I always thought it was an herb, but I have this damn woman - who doesn't even WORK for the school but is doing a joint event with us - complaining because the color in a graphic I did - which is going to be EMAILED - is brown, not paprika. WTF???? last time I looke, Photoshop doesn't have a crayola feature where I can plug in color names for their equivalents. I mean, really, what is the hexidecimal code for Paprika gonna be?

If she were a paying client - I'd be overcharging her right now so she would NEVER come back. That or I would be charging her for every change she makes me do - since this is the FIFTH alteration in the damn graphic so far (and it's just text on a color background for the love of god).
