For the things that never make any sense! XD

The place for those OT discussions that you just HAVE to share in a doll themed forum.

Mostly for the pictures and the Marketplace, for me at least. Despite its massive, wanktastic issues, it's still the biggest English-language source of owner pics, and it has a very extensive aftermarket. I just avoid General Discussion and Dolly Debate for the sake of my blood pressure and don't post much. I definitely use it as more of a resource than a community.

Ack, I just wasted an hour of my life reading DoA related articles on Encyclopedia Dramatica
I hang out in the sewing forum on DoA, since the folks there like to make things for their dolls and there's not much drama. I also like the group meetups forum, so I can meet local folks who also think its sane to spend tons of money on dolls.
I just avoid the most drama laden parts of DoA and enjoy the parts where I get to share ideas with like minded folks.

Why thank you Mother Nature. An anticipated 12 more inches of snow was *just* what we needed.

Well, it's only going to be 89 here today...

When matching colors always take what you want to match with you. Turns out Jimmy is more of a Parchment color. ~crosses fingers that isn't too yellow~ But I can dust it with pink pastel. Appropriate name for his color if it works out.

Mlatch, there are so many Real World things to be unhappy about these days that frankly DoA Drahmah isn't even on my radar. I am there for the pictures, MP, the sewing and customization threads (and if it had not been for those, Sera would NEVER have gotten her fabulous wings, so it was worth it right there) and the over-30 and over-50 threads. I post in those last because I get snarky and I am beginning to think that "they" are afraid to offend someone who is actually "famous" by deleting me. I have not quite pushed it to the limit yet...but it is getting quite amusing to see.

But yes, you hit the nail on the head. The DoA mods are, emotionally about 13, and sociologically backwards at that. Why people stay there or are drawn there is because there is no big alternative run by a coterie of adults. There is no big alternative run by a coterie of adults, because adults have lives and things to do.

Oh, I quite agree, M. If it wasn't for the local group I've met through DOA and the Marketplace there, I would not go back. As it stands, I have only had the MNF and local meet-up group threads as well as a dozen or so favorite seller threads on my sub list for about a year now.

It has been proposed that all dolls come from nightmares. Did anyone actually play with one of these?

*All Sherlock Holmes dolls need a Watson. Why didn't anyone tell me Ignite made a Napoleon Bonepart? Looks like I'll have to add another brand to the website.

Short, not to trim, and awaiting an Alan Cox head. Cool thing is that looks like a Dragon size neck so I can start his head while I wait for him to arrive.

Seriously people, tell me if someone comes out with a neat looking body that's off the beaten path. My website is such a cheap excuse to buy dolls...

...I just discovered that Resinsoul has a double jointed boy body.

And a small busted version as the double jointed girl body.

In addition to the girl body with the hooves.

It's like they've taken my wishlist and just went down checking things off. O_O

I've been wanting a grey Song with a double jointed body, a white Mei on Rong's body that I was thinking about giving a reduction to, and light tan Rong on the hooved body. I think that Song is going to be first, as a reward for getting a new job, because of the three Cobweb is currently the only one with a name, even if I've already ordered a pair of MSD pointe feet that are goign to the Mei. XD I'd already have him if I hadn't been waiting for the double joints!

Several bodies have them including Dragon Neo Adam, my House, and Hot Toys True Type. You haven't seen my website DolfieLittles.com and the Little Encyclopedia have you? Jointed feet, jointed hands, swappable parts, I'm working towards better pics comparing skin tones but I can answer a good many of them. And I'm open to suggestions on making it better.

I was sold on this for Watson because it's said to be a 1/2 inch shorter than the average guy and the non muscular body. My Holmes is already taller so it'll work out.
