Take everyone waiting to go and lay them out on your bed or something and make them give you a good reason to continue or a good reason why they might need to go to someone else. Then sleep on it and when you wake up you'll know.

I culled a good half of the older Barbie and fashion dolls I had been keeping, if they said they were ready to go I didn't ask them why. Following whims is why I have the Head Cabinet. There's plenty of them to be all the characters I could ever think I want but they have only 6 bodies to share. A shot glass wrack takes up less room than 2 dozen dolls.

I'll have to try that. At least maybe go through and separate the heads I really want from the bodies, and do similar with the bodies I really want (mainly Gymnast Barbies- still pretty good, even if they don't have jointed wrists) Then combine all the unwanteds into new Goodwill donations.

I just need to *do* it. My creativity and motivation both seem to be on long vacations.

I did that. I took 2 or even 3 dolls and put them together to make one doll that I really liked. I put together the unwanted heads and bodies and donated them to a charity shop.
I don't know about you, but when I cleared through my unfinished cloth doll projects and gave them away to people who might finish them I had a giant burst of energy. It was like all those unfinished projects and 'I'll get to it someday' projects were a big dam keeping back my energy.
In fact - I think I might need to do it again soon. It's like unclogging a drain - regular maintenance makes for better water flow

Look around your neighborhood too and see if there might be a good home for some dolls. What started with me finding a deserving little mommy for some unwanted dolls and clothes ended up being a family who needed and gladly accepted some other things we were parting with. Shortly after that the mom got a job and things began to look up for them.

Alrighty then, let's hope we were looking at a place on the wrong E Street, actually that one was Avenue E but I was writing E Street. Just saw one today on another E Street in a different city and outside of the wood paneling, but it was bright inside, it has everything we want including a bigger kitchen. And there's a drying wrack and artists storage cabinets in the basement.

How many artists were you planning on storing in the basement?

Yes, this has been one of the worst tornado outbreaks in many years-so many deaths and so much damage! But so many have survived unscathed, and for that we're thankful.

Thank you for thinking of those who were in the path of these terrible storms.
