Are the My Twin horses flocked? It's hard to tell from the pics :)

Yep....very nicely flocked (but the hooves are not flocked). The only thing that bothered me about them is the white flocked sticker used for the forehead....kinda cheesy, but I just used some chalk (shaved it into a pile) and pounced it on with a paintbrush to extend the stripe and make it look a little more natural. Believe it or not, you can seal it with the same type sealer you use for sealing doll lips after they've been painted/blushed.....just make sure you use the "flat" version since you surely don't want it shiney! LOL!

Actually I'm not terribly fond of the flocked ones because they attract cat/dog hair like crazy >< I'd have double-furred horses if I were to get them hahahaha.

I'm right there with you on that! But on the other hand, the flocking cuts all reflective blow-back when you're taking pictures. We've worked with hard plastic before and even when we used a hand-held light diffuser, we had problems cutting down on "shine" on all outdoor photographs. Couldn't even nix it with photoshop.

But yeah....cat hair......I just had to take some packing tape and lightly touch them all over to remove it. A pain...but worth it. :D

They cost $79 (although if you watch their site, they occasionally put them up on sale.....I got one of our horses for $40!) And now they've got a new horse....a quarter horse that I really think I need. I like the new horse's "four on the floor" stance!

Here's a link to them: http://www.mytwinn.com/My-Twinn-Friend_/Pets_2

Ok, is it just me, or does the plush sheltie/collie in the photo look like it's about to hump the little kid's arm?

At that price...I dunno anymore.

Totally. Worth it. It's going on my list. I'd love to do the painting and the blushing on it. And it really is like getting a doll... Except... It's a horse. x]
I dunno. I'd do it. :]
