When we'd visit my dad in New York he'd usually take us down to Chinatown on the weekends to get lunch and then we'd get icecream or some other desert and eat in that park and listen to the musicians. I can't believe that anyone would call in a noise complaint and I'm horrified at how the police behaved.

Well, the called in complaint was probably from someone who didnt grow up in the area and moved there. There is a lot of gentrification going on in the area and I feel like it''s the sentiment of It's not my culture, lets get rid of it. It's also the "it's Saturday/Sunday morning and I have a hangover from drinking all night and this music is hurting my brains." It's frustrating because these ppl think that just because they pay rent they can dictate that the pre-existing culture be torn down. I mean there's no stopping it. Pretty soon I'm sure Chinatown will be just like Park Slope.

Well, this is kinda petty and lame compared to real problems...

I spent all day yesterday working on a pants pattern for the BBB/RS MSD boy body.... I was almost done, just had to put in a closure in the front, whether velcro or snaps or something.... Decided the back needed to be taken in a bit cuz it made the poor boy look like he has thunder thighs (which, if you compare waist:hip ratios, the boy sculpt actually has birthing hips, but I find that adorable).... sewed in the seams and trimmed out the excess.... only to have completely EFFED UP!! T_T So now I have to start the pattern over because the original obviously didn't fit properly or I wouldn't have had to take in the seat of the pants in the first place.... Cut apart the first pair and laid it out on some scrap fabric and stupidly traced and cut the exact outline rather than leaving myself seam allowance.... -facepalm- At least it's scrap fabric... I'll just have to note the pattern pieces that I need to leave seam space when tracing onto good fabric..

Most people don't have seam allowances on their patterns when they're in the block/sloper phase. It's much easier to make adjustments that way because it's nothing to add a seam allowance after. When I was working on pants I had a saddle bag problem but never a baggy seat. How are you measuring to wind up with that?

Can't really compare to other people's sucky stuff, but man, DS is being a ***** today. Lots of white screens and errors. Meh.

If I remember correctly Grayhaunt said there were occasional problems with the server. Just give it a few minutes or refresh and it usually works out.

I am about as pissed as pissed can be right now. My loving husband just decided to use my Paypal money (which was being saved for a Hujoo Jake) to add a month of time to his World of Warcraft account. I just about to go close his account right now.... Arrrggh! So now I have to start all over again saving. All I have to say is he better not say a word when I bring Jake home...... >_<*********

Umm, if it's your money and your Paypal account, isn't he going to pay you back? Like in cash or on your bank account or something..?
