What makes this different????

I never know what DoA's standards are. I think there's just a bunch that want dolls THEY like and that's that.

Maybe it's that simple! I just don't understand how some dolls are not "Asian" enough, and some are. To me, very few of them seem Asian at all. I really can't see the difference.

I think it is what doll company that they like. they accept All of Volks doll except the 1:6 scale and they are not that crazy about Obitsu even though they both are "ASIAN" they want it make out of resin and it has to be Japanese and maybe a Korean doll company. but they don't really like Chines dolls....

and if you make a doll from scratch to fit in because I might be white and from america It does not fit the TOPIC...

Even that seems to be subject to favoritism. Last time I looked Bishounen House dolls are OnT and they don't look very "Asian Aesthetic" to me.

Amazingly enough they declared him On Topic. Perhaps just because of all the flack they'd get if they didn't, when he has an obviously asian face, and that kind of "encrustation" shows up fairly often in anime.

Wow. I really REALLY want to see a finished version of that guy all painted up.... And he'll be available in grey resin too, they said... that would really be spectacular.

He also needs cool props. Some really cool weapon to fit his persona.... and yeah, not too much in the way of clothing. That detailing in the sculpt has to show, or what's the point?

I know someone who might get this doll and put a euslase head on it...If she caves and gets him I get to make a loincloth and chain garment suitable for a DaemonLord to wear! I already am excited about makeing the outfit!

DEFINITELY not my cup of tea (I would do all the encrustations in metallic if the sky fell in and I had the money for him) but yeah....wow!
