I was expecting to start getting unemployment this week. Well, now because I had taken a "voluntary layoff" (as in, I took it over the possibility of getting fired for not doing my job well enough for their insane expectations, never mind that I was one of their BEST workers), I'm going to have to wait possibly a whole MONTH for any compensation as they review and "decide whether or not I'm eligible". Which means what, that I'll possibly not get it at ALL???

Well. So much for the possibility of going back to school. Looks like I'll be out job hunting fulltime and I can only hope to God I can actually find one, even if it's only part time.

I hate the government. Seriously. >__<

Maybe, maybe not. I thought not, but my friend's boyfriend keeps getting fired from his jobs and he manages to get unemployment. It's a tiny piddling amount, yes, but it's something.

Best case scenario, they give me compensation but it won't be as much as it would have been had it not been a voluntary layoff. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If I'm lucky, I'll get a job before it gets too serious anyway. I turned in an application today for a full-time position at a retirement home that has been advertised for nearly a month now, to be a laundry aide. The hours are from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, so I'd guess not many people are interested. But, you know, my philosophy is beggars can't be choosers. I'm not about to be picky with the type of work or hours offered. So long as the pay is relatively reasonable, anyway. And the atmosphere isn't the depressing, negative atmosphere I've had to work in for the past seven and a half years. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this, too.

My gripe for the day... I realized after I got out of the shower this morning that my nosering is gone. Not sure where it went. I can't find it, and I can't get another one til tomorrow. So here's hoping it doesn't close up before then. I've had it for 2 years (hurt like a ***** to get it), and my hubby (who does piercings) said it should be fine, as long as it's only a day or two. I feel weird without it.

EDIT: Sticking an unbent paper clip into the hole to be sure it stays open feels rather disturbing.

The Domuya body I ended up settling on for one of my boys matched his resin perfectly but the neck ended up being too short. And the body ended up being too short for his character too. I probably should have stuck with my original plan and went with the HZ body instead. Damn you, Boy Toy! *angry fist shake*

hehe it's ok resu my minimee ended up on a ws b&g type 1, the color match is really good but his neck post is linda thin and he is a tad too short i would have really loved him on a 70cm body but i got would i could get at the time but atleast he is not a floating head anymore. so there is always a brightside. and with his wardrobe once i can make it or afford to buy all the pieces i need and his wig i will give him a faceup and the clothing will make him thicker in appearance and should looks alot better in the end.

Eh... I prefer to have him be a floating head, than him being out of proportion. He just looks really weird and makes me not want to pick him up and play with him. It is totally out of character for him, though, which makes the situation funny and a bit easier to deal with until I have time to take photos and put the body up for sale. XD

So we get the bill for the sleep study Larry's doctor ordered....three years ago he had one which was around $500. This time our share after insurance is $3000......

WTF????

And to add insult to injury, one of my teeth cracked off a big chunk. Cheapest for a crown I've been quoted is $900.

Who the hell told anyone that we were made of money??????

Yeah, I have to admit . . . I have just part of one tooth because we can't afford the $1000 for a crown. At least it's one that can't be seen when I smile or talk . . . Heck I still have a temp crown on a tooth because it would be another $200 to have the permanent one fitted.

what suckz for me is that I have two weeks left of school, I just got a reimbursement, got paid, all bills caught up and I want to by a 1/4 scale doll, and I don't know what to do or what one to get...
