Today I got my ResinSoul Rong in the mail. I love my UPS guy, he wrapped up her box in plastic even though he was looking at me because it had just started to rain harder than it has been all day.
But her box was nice and dry! It was much smaller than the box Penny had come in (to be fair though, Penny was a JunkySpot buy). Box turned on its side because I was too lazy to have to edit out my own address:
After I managed to get the box open, I got the Bobobie Doll Mall box open (which I didn't take a picture of) and slipped out my little girl. She was pretty much in this position, except her headcap went flying. I have to admit, I'm not fond of most ResinSoul defaults (Penny came with gold ones that look like cat eyes, and I've seen three different dolls with the default blue and never really liked it), but I have to admit, the brown default is pretty.
After I got her out of her box I tightened her so I didn't wait two months like I did with Penny and put her eyes in. I decided to try and see if I could get her to sit. It pretty much failed on my mother's computer (it's pretty slippery to be fair) but I got her to sit rather nicely on the corner of the couch!
Ixia decided she wanted her hair on now, even though she wasn't dressed yet, so we put on her hair. It's a pink version of the wig glitterbird's Lark wears as they're going to be sisters.
I had tightened Penny's strings last night and had had her standing on my mother's computer most of the morning, waiting for the UPS truck. So I decided to see if I could just plop Ixia down the same way, and she stood well, minus a bit of fumbling because she has no shoes.
At about this time, Penny realized that Ixia had stolen her gray sweater. Ixia's outfit was bought in a mixed order that glitterbird ordered so Ixia's clothes are with her sister right now. Penny's not a fan of sharing.
Now that Penny was sufficiently jealous of another peculiar-eared doll stealing her clothes, I put Ixia's horn on (she's a little unicorn girl)
I guess Penny's forgiven her a bit for stealing her clothes. Or she's just showing off that she can kneel without flopping over now. We'll pretend she's being nice and making friends at least!
