~edit~ Moving SUCKS ROCKS by August we've found a place to go but have to wait for the other people to leave and the owner to remodel, which is good because the place smells lightly of smoke. Things are evening out somewhat but this is still the suckiest being jerked around by a chain move ever. ~shakes fist at economy~

It's nothing compared to what other people have to go through.

Things that suck: having out AC unit's blower motor break. Yea, it's only 97 degrees in my house right now.

Use ice water, it works better.

This will at least keep you cool enough to sleep.

Well, our house is small... and we do have spare box fans... Thankfully my BF's best friend happens to be an HVAC specialist, so I'm really hoping we are only going to be going a day or 2 without AC. (Hoping. >.<)

The day started out lovely: a day at a small local beach with the little girl I mentor. It ended sooner than planned when a park warden shut it down due to dangerously high levels of e-coli. This was after we had been swimming for about 2 hours....
I already took a bath when I came home, but feel like I could use another.

And now.. turns out the motor for the AC is pretty much irreplaceable. The unit was so old no one is selling parts for it anymore. And honestly to buy a brand new unit for the place costs 1/2 what we paid for the entire place. So now we have no idea what to do. And yes I have ghetto AC's running, as well as about 10 fans. But it's still not helping enough. And joy, it's supposed to be 99 over the weekend.

I will not complain about the heat. Everyone is having problems with that. My issue is the humidity which is hitting 80+% today. You can see the air and it's makes even breathing difficult.

Oh, come on, it's fun to have the air so thick that you might as well be breathing through a coffee stirrer! Plus it's always so refreshing to feel damp all day long!

I love drinking my air.

Drinking air is all the rage now. It's even coming in flavors. Mine is "city exhaust". :P

Physical discomfort aside, the real problem is I can't resin cast with this much humidity. It creates extra bubbles and then won't set right.
