It's what Sapphire was chanting.

Even if I knew ancient European languages, I still doubt I'd have a chance....LOL!

Serpent's breath, charm of death and life, thy omen of making...

But that certainly doesn't look like Excalibur that Sapphire is holding to me. :(

So, death or life? Hmmmm....

Well, that was the spell called the Charm of Making. In Excalibur it turned Uther Pendragon into the likeness of the Duke of Cornwall, Igraine's husband, so he could get into Igraine's castle and do the nasty with her.

Assuming that K2 didn't just use it because he likes the way it looks on the page, why would Sapphire be using a transformation spell on Diamond?

That's actually a quote of something? YOWZA!

Coolest incantation ever: (dredging it up from 45 years ago)
Through sight and sound and faceless terror;
Through endless corridors by trial and error;
Ahead a blazing light doth/does burn;
And one door leads to the point of return.

The Dark Shadows Dream Curse!
For those too young to remember it, the curse was how Angelique returned the curse of vampirism to Barnabas. Each person would dream they were running through the corridors of Collinwood and they would see horrors behind doors. When they awoke, screaming, they were compelled to tell SOMEONE else the dream... who would then have it him or herself.

That thing scared the CRAP outta me!

well I'm going to confess I thought he made it up too LOL. I remember seeing Excalibur when it came out (I was a massive Arthur nut back then), but I never would have remembered that spell at all. Well done ladies :)

Apparently my adorable and smart husband recognized the chant! AND HE DIDN'T TELL ME!! He also points out that Sapphire used the same chant when helping Hyacinth! And here I was trying to remember if it was the spell from the movie "Willow".

Excaliber the movie, with the pre-plastic surgerized Michelle Pfeiffer?

I would contribute to the discussion but my head has exploded.
