Wow! Those betta's sound crazy. Kai hates Haruka. I set her down near the tank once and he started flaring at her like no tomorrow (I have two betta's a red boy named Kai and a blue boy named Akira).

My blue boy is a tail biter and has multilated flies before...Proudly so.

My fiance's beta is really calm all the time unless you have a doll facing her bowl. It's like she sees their eyes and just freaks out.

She sounds adorable. I haven't put my dolls by the tanks in awhile but neither of my fish like the dolls even if it's just passing I passed by carrying Frankie's box and Kai was all flares.

I love betta's. I've had like 3 and my husband owned one before his mom poached it. I had 2 red ones named Mr. Fishy and then Nightwish (who creepily died the night before a Nightwish concert). After that I had a blue crowntail that I named Meister Bloo (and you had to say it with a terrible Mexican accent). My husband's was named Steve McQueen... and then his mom thought it was cold and put a space heater next to it. Poor Steve. I still have my betta bowl cause I'd love another, just not right now.

I lost power for five days due to the last hurricane, and now the bridge in my driveway is out from the flooding. And there's water in the basement. It isn't too bad, fortunately. I had coworkers who left partway through today because their houses were flooding and the entire township they lived in was being shut down. And the rain isn't planning on stopping any time soon.

Betta's are the best fish ever.

And yeah the flooding is pretty bad. One of my friends was evacuated from his house where he's at. We're all hoping he's okay.

Painting the new place with Kilz, spraying for bugs, and stomping on everything that moves. I think we're winning the bug war, we've cleaned and don't leave food behind. Turns out the stove is beige instead of brown. Eeew.

We do get a goat, turkeys, and chickens next door. I call them Supper, Dinner, Lunch, McNuggets, Chicken Salad Sammich, and Om Nom Nom because they're for eating.

Jebus! Invest in a boat! We don't live on a flood plane but we do live near a Creek that has a history of flooding. I'm always just waiting for the day of record rain that makes the creek spill over and then trap us on our little hill.
