Well, I imagine we should forgive the girls, they are nekomimi after all and not the most socially sensitive to undercurrents....

Ahhh-HA, K2... we *caught* you! we now know how and why of this storyline.

Now... most people would think that you storyboarded it all out and then went in search of the right "look" for adolescent Diamond BUT they would be WRONG!

About a year ago, or so, you saw a wig in a catalog or online or at a dollshow. It was the "duelling Thistleballs" wig, complete with the little sausage curls in front. You saw that wig, sitting on a stand, either in person or in a picture and you said "ZOMG!!! WANT!!!" and you proceeded to buy the wig and THEN write the ENTIRE STORY around the hairpiece!

In fact... I'll go back farther! You saw it around TWO or even THREE years ago... or around six weeks or a couple months AFTER you started MADh Vinyl!

THAT explains WHY Diamond started OUT with smooth hair, and then graduated to curly! She began with smooth flat hair and then The Wig reared its poufy head! You knew... KNEW at *that* precise cosmic point in the universe that you HAD to have it! But.... how to introduce it? You couldn't just "pop it onto" poor Diamond's noggin! It had to have a BACKSTORY! So.... what to do? Someone HAD to account for the change TO the Duelling Thistleballs... it would have to be magic... so... Hyatt was out.... Someone close to Diamond... maybe... a SISTER! That was it... a sister who was predestined by a Prophecy to ... do what?.... H'mmmmmm.... (poor Hyatt... done in by a wig!)

So you changed the hairstyle from flat to fluffy, in pre-preparation for The Wig! Then... you crafted the ENTIRE Saga so that you could eventually bring the Thistleballs out PROPERLY!

And THAT accounts for the title! MADh Vinyl! Now WE all thought that it stood for Miyuki Anna Marie Diamond Hyatt/Hyacinth M.A.D.h. but no... we were WRONG! And you, K2, a MASTER of misdirection, fiendish mad scientist that you ARE chose to misdirect us even farther by REVERSING the capitalization!! It SHOULD read m.a.d.H. OR....

Mega-Assed Doll HAIRSTYLE!!! The rest is just commentary!

I've SOLVED the entire conundrum in ONE fell SWOOP! BWAHAHAHAHA!

My only question now is.....

What do you do for an encore?

Karl, you are the meanest person on the planet.
And you are enjoying this wayyyyy too much!
Poor Diamond.
I've had those haircuts, where you look in the mirror everyday and tell yourself:
"I look OK. Really...I look fine....it's not that bad.....it's fine....it'll grow out....."
