Some forest wear.....

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

I love the outfits. Now all your girls need are some men/boys to go on those walks with.

Very nice work! I haven't had the time/courage to attempt a corset for either of my girls yet, but I'd like to.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I saw a tutorial somewhere for making a boned corset with bits of plastic ice cream tubs.

Thanks, OkamiKodomo! That sounds like a very interesting idea!

Thank you, Moonwillow!

Evelien wrote:Oooh. That dress. <3 It reminds me of old princess dresses, like the one The Little Mermaid wore. Love it <3

Thanks, Evelien.....my favorite princess dress was from the Disney Sleeping Beauty....remember it? It changed color from pink to blue because the fairies couldn't make up their minds! :)

Greyhaunt wrote:Lovely outfits - and I've also heard that you can do boning for doll clothes by cutting up plastic bottles like milk bottles or soda bottles! But yes, I've heard the zip tie method as well :)

Thank you, Greyhaunt! I think it is wonderful to find ways to use more common things in sewing than to have to purchase specialty items (at a specialty price :| )

catshem wrote:I will forever remember the zip tie method. You're clothes look wonderful!

Thank you, catshem!

claywimmin wrote:Both outfits are to die for!! Absolutely stunning.. . I have a package of those tiny zip ties and now that you've opened my eyes to it, I can definitely see them as corset stays. And to think I've been wondering what to do with all those itty bitty pieces of plastic. Thanks!!!

Thanks, claywimmin! It's nice to discover new uses for common items!

Sorean wrote:Beautiful sewing! Laerwen's cloak is precious, and perfect elf-y camouflage XD

Thank you, Sorean! I think Laerwen will find it much easier to blend in!

Thank you, maywong! I've actually got my eye on a little 5StarDoll companion for Laerwen.....but I could also use some bigger hunky guys too! :D

Thanks, kenaiqueen! I certainly understand the time thing! LOL! And sometimes you just have to take the plunge for courage to kick in! :D

Gorgeous! Cutting up the zip ties soundsmuch less time consuming than any other method I have read about. Thanks for the tip!
