So, I'd like to throw another curly one in here.... How about human makeup on dolls?

NO!!!
This question comes up surprisingly often, but absolutely NEVER use human makeup on a doll. Virtually all human makeup is going to have oils or some sort of base to it that can stain you doll badly. Makeup is made for porous skin, not vinyl or resin! If you work with pastels you may use some makeup brushes if you are comfortable with them, but only ones bought specifically for your pastels - never ones that you have used with real makeup.

An for the person who asked about liquitex - that's one of the most common artists brands out there, so as long as the paint itself is still good there is no reason why you can't use them on your doll.

I've used 100% pure pigment blush on my dolls but only a jar devoted to them. Pigment is pigment and you can, but unless it's pure pigment dedicated to them I wouldn't advise it. Any skin oils that get in there, or if they use mineral oil etc in there like the cheap brands, it's really bad for dolls. You all know you can make your own makeup out of pure pigments from the craft store. It's not quite as hygienic as going to BE but you can...
