Hehe I worry about that at times too.

My fiance said he wanted to get me a tablet PC for my art studio, so I could read or watch movies while I'm working. While I appreciated the lovely thought, if I'm in my studio, I need to be watching what my hands are doing, lest we have to make an impromptu visit to the emergency room because I sewed myself to a doll dress or cosplay, or happened to pick up my rotary cutter or X-Acto knife by the business end.

Maybe I should tell him that if he wants to get me some $200 gift, that he should get me an airbrush compressor. But hell, I'd settle for a $20 Sculpey oven. XD

My rejoice? I managed to get all the paint off my Barbie to repaint her, without melting it. Considering I've never done vinyl paint removal, I was terrified. I also performed surgery on her legs, to swap the pair of beast-eaten flat feet, for a pair of jointed legs with high-heel feet.

Watch as the abominations called "clothes" fly out of my room!!! MWUAHAHAahahaahha!

Sewing machines have scared the crap out of me ever since I saw my aunt put the needle through her finger on accident when I was a kid T__T

:l why you gotta put back an old fear I had too? Never saw anyone do it, I just knew it was possible.

I got over it when I realized one day I would like to use one, and also the pedal can go as fast as you press on it so you can do real slow speed stitching if you're worried about having the fabric fly through and taking your hand with it. Honestly, I think you have to be really NOT PAYING ATTENTION in order to stab yourself with one nowadays.

The only thing that worries me is my husband. He decided he wanted to try it and I'm just like "Please...no...just...leave it to me..."

Lol, sorry... I like to sew things by hand, anyway. I probably wouldn't a sewing machine even if I had one.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I know the stereotype is that people working retail end up hating Christmas...hasn't happened to me yet! XD I'm so excited, I collect reindeer and I've got Santa a brand new wooden sleigh with brass runners to set behind his vintage team across the mantlepiece. My sister is once again not coming home this year which leaves five of us in the house, and incidentally there are five hooks across the fireplace, which now houses the very nice looking false fireplace space heater my dad got from Sam's Club, so for the first time in my life we have what at least looks like a cheery fire going. ...It used to be a functional fireplace but the chimney's been missing fireplace brick since before we bought the house so we've never been able to use it. My two foot artificial tree is on a little display table in the corner of the dining room across from where the real tree will be, to probably be decorated with my collection of fairy ornaments. I still need to figure out where to put my adorable Charlie Brown tree, the house looks so cheery already!

Heee. I love Christmas. I need to go put Bast into his snowflake sweater.

I know that feeling. My beagle loves to see what he can steal and bring outside. XD

I'd love to see some Frankenbarbie and Ken tutorials. Your arms, your legs, your body. So far all I can do is swap heads.

I can't do a step by step, but I can probably see about posting the parts and the process.

That's cool that it hasn't. I can't say the same for either my wife or me. I don't actually hate Christmas at all, I just wish there was less about it that made it something to be endured rather than enjoyed in my household.
