I restrung my BBB Ariel! Peaseblossom now has brand new elastic and S-hooks in her ankles. I remember when she arrived and she couldn't even stand up on her own because her elastic was so loose, now she stands in her heels like a champ and could probably plank if I really tried. I am going to have to get some hemostats before I try this again. XD It was really hard! But I'm pleased. And I have a whole bunch of extra s-hooks so I'm going to do Ariel and Dove later when I have a chance (and get the elastic I just ordered). But for the first time, Peaseblossom isn't acting like a ragdoll!

I've never completely restrung a doll with new elastic before. I partially disassembled Ryo once when I sueded him but I didn't take his arms apart. I could never have done this when I first got into the hobby. XD I was so afraid of damaging Ryo when I got him and now here I am holding Pease's torso with my feet with pliars in her chest tugging on elastic as hard as I can. :laughs:

Life happens.... It's quite a good thing in this case but it's change in a major way and it will likely require a shift in my priorities.

Sorry to be vague but nothing's official just yet. I want to rejoice but I need to temper that feeling with cautious optimism.

My parents finally realized that I don't make hundreds of dollars a paycheck, and offered to help us out so we can still come visit them for Christmas. Which also means I can possibly hang out with a few MN dollieh folks for a day. I can't wait to travel, I love it so much. <3
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

I'm getting a dollieh head in exchange for a custom dress! A user on DoA had a "practice head" up for sale in the market, and was willing to take eyes or MSD clothes for trade, so I offered the stuff I've got, and she liked a green ballet dress I made, but haven't listed in the sale thread yet. She mentioned it not being the right color but she loved it anyway, so I offered to make another one using fabrics from my stash. I got the tracking number yesterday evening, and it should be here on tomorrow! It needs some serious TLC judging by the pictures. It's an Angel of Dream MSD Qing head in what appears to be normal yellow skin, but I'll compare it to my friends' AoD dolls when it gets here. The lips were sanded a little bit, and there's some heavy black pain around the eyes and eyebrows, which means there may be some staining under it, but I'm loving the chance to practice restoration and the chance to possibly play with my dremel again.

Aaaand! I did manage to order my Angelsdoll Kloze today. Just waiting for the down payment to clear and all that lovely stuff. I can buy my hubby's Christmas present this week, and got my water bill paid early wewt. ^_^ Not enough left to buy the boots for my DZ Annie but hubby > doll lol Besides, DDE said their shipment hasn't come in yet anyway, so I've still got a bit left to wait.

Zeldaaaaa!

My brother finished playing through Skyward Sword last night and so he brought down the Wii and game for me (and the freaking awesome Wii-mote Plus that came with the game that's got the triforce on it and everything) and when I came home I was originally intending to watch some of the Christmas specials I've got on DVD, but the Wii was right there...

It is so much fun. Takes some getting used to but the learning curve really isn't all that bad. Especially considering the only games I've played in the last year are handheld. And I'm not really all that far in, just a couple of hours. But so much fun. And I loved watching for all the callbacks to other games because this is supposed to be the first in the in-world chronology so this is where it all originated for the characters and it's just so much fun.

Oh awesome Kirahfaye! I've been dying to get Miku your daughter's so lucky! Happy Holidays!

My kiddo's got one of their presents early: A tree of their own and lots of photo time with it. My studio shelf has now become a Christmassy wonderland of sorts.

In regard to this recent, rather cryptic post....

I was going wait until this was formally confirmed but since my wife posted it on her Facebook page today, I figure I should post it here too. We are expecting our first child next year! We still need to go to the doctor on Tuesday to confirm it but this looks pretty certain at the moment.

Wow, I'm going to be somebody's Daddy! :D

Poor kid....
