So, back in November, I purchased a Jun Planning Ai "Cosmos" off of eBay. It's now January, and though I've edited my signature to reflect this, and spoken about her in other threads, I still haven't formally introduced her or even said where she fits into my doll family (that will go into the Photostory zone later)
So, this is Mina, my little Ai. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I won her, only that she would be really, really tiny! I'm too embarrassed to admit to which video it is, but I filmed her opening and put it up on YouTube. If you'd like to see how awkward I am on camera... well, it'd be pretty easy to find that....
Anyway, so yes, she was very small! (still is, actually). But her face is adorable--very "surprised kitten". I kept thinking that I was going to break her, and thought that I HAD broken her when her head cap suddenly "snapped" (read, large cracking sound that seemed like I had just broken it in half) off. But we're getting along well now, and I'm getting used to handling her. She's tiny, but that makes her more fun to play around with and put her in wacky poses and situations
And things just look so ridiculously large next to her that you can't help but go "awww"
Today, I turned her into a cat girl! (thereby making her ten times cuter). For the storyline I'm creating with my dolls, she needed to be a cat before my 5SD Tong Tong shows up (who is now stateside, btw)
I ended up making her a tiny tail which is magnetized through her nurse's outfit. The ears are simply cut to shape and stitched to her wig with a single stitch. And viola! Bitty cat girl!
At first, I was a little nervous about having Mina and wasn't sure I was connecting. But she's really become the comic relief of my group. I get a very hyper, clumsy vibe from her, and that just makes her so cute. I'm glad I didn't automatically decide she was too small and just try and sell her back off!
