If we can clean up a head and footboard and bed frame we found I might have a cheap bed solution. It will just need a piece of plywood for a base as I have no box spring, last one finally broke, and lots of unsupported foam. Did go to a furniture store and found one bed I kind of liked but the design felt "heavy" if you know what I mean. Couldn't believe there's one design that people purposely want their bed to look like patches of different wood and finishes from very dry and weathered to finished.

Did like a six basket ferris wheel piece of decor, didn't like the decor, and they stuck a clock in a giant gear. Just stick some gears on it and call it Steampunk...

France! Oh, I do hope you get your travel comped, Misty! Paris is one of the places in Europe my family would love to visit!

And yes, those Kurhn dolls are beautiful - and the outfits are fantastic!

I just did a search for Kurhn (apparently I spelled it wrong, it's not Kuhrn but Kurhn, woops) on eBay and only 2 dolls are up. 2!!

I do like that Kurhn doll!

I especially like one of their selling points: " Unlike the typical Barbie doll, Kurhn has a natural beauty, a girlish figure, angelic pale skin, pixie features, and naturally dark hair. She is a more wholesome influence for young girls and far more interesting a collectable item."

Truthfully, I might like one some day. She does have a pretty face.

I just found out that Think Pink, a Dutch BJD dealer, also sells Kurhn dolls. They actually have quite a few in stock and the cheapest ones are only €10 ($12.95) each!

I've been invited to a French Fantasy Literature festival. If my publisher over there will pay my way....evidently the government of France is known to help with things like that, so I am seriously crossing my fingers. My books are very popular over there for some reason.

I hope it isn't until spring, though!

Black pudding can be called blood pudding or blood sausage.
