The city public transportating system continues to collapse under its own weight, and this time it looks like I may not be able to keep my job after the cuts happen. I just won't be able to get to work. Not unless I want to walk two miles every morning over the river, across a busy road, in the dark at five in the morning, assuming there actually is still a bus on that route that'll get me to work by 6:30AM. Possible, but not very fun at all and I'm not sure how practical it will be long-term, especially considering that there will no longer be Sunday service at all and we're required to work some Sundays. I'm not the only one on my team who's going to have this problem either or if they're even going to as much of an option as I do. I don't know what we're going to do.

It's not happening until September, but I doubting that anything is going to change. They just keep pointing at the state and whining that the state's not giving them any more money, when they mismanage what they get and they're now hiking the rates again. Starting in July I'm going to have to pay $3.75 each way.

Plus I don't want to spend the money to stay in a hotel for my upcoming anime con now. I can still get there for part of each day if I bus but I'm going to miss a lot of the later stuff and I like that stuff. :/ I feel bad for backing out on the friend I was going to be staying with, too.

Hopefully I'm just overreacting and it won't be as bad as I'm expecting. Somehow. Not sure how. But maybe? I wonder if the hardware store is hiring.

My RuoDie is being returned to MoC because apparently the box got too damaged RHAAAAAA !!! I'm so sad. I thought it was so cool that she would arrive on Valentine's day

I'm extremely disappointed and angry. I called the post office twice. They wouldn't even let me see the box, it must be really bad, I don't get it at all. I contacted MoC immediately and even though they're in China, fortunately Dawn stayed behind to answer emails, because she replied really quickly.

I hope RuoDie didn't get damaged, but then again I would be disappointed if she didn't because that means I could have gotten the box yesterday and there wouldn't have been a problem at all. I don't know. I'm trying to stay calm because there's nothing I can do anyway.

You can still have her birthday be Valentines Day because essentially it is, I did the same thing with a doll that got pink slipped. There's no doll birthday police.

And basically be happy the post office is on the ball for smooshed boxes, after the way other shippers treated stuff over the holidays they know people are watching. Talk to your post master and look on their website to see if there is a legal way you would have a right to look at a smashed package sent to you and if not make one.

I called twice and both ladies I talked to said the same thing: apparently this is common policy and I only could have seen the box if it had actually arrived at the post office in my hometown, but they scooped it up even before it was distributed. They did admit it was them who damaged it. They don't know the details, but when the box left customs it was fine. The next day it wasn't.

I think I will still count Valentine's Day as her birthday, it's just too cute <3, unless she happens to arrive on another fun date

What sucks for me is I may have to sell a few of my girls as I'm broke and will soon have medical bills. I'm in no state to work so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I just made an appointment to have my guinea pig put down. I've never had to do that to a pet before. She's scheduled for Saturday. I kind of hope that she goes on her own first.
