Unoa BOMB!

Hey guys! So those who read my blog might know I was commissioned to work on four Unoa faceplates by the lovely woman who bought one of my painted Obitsu 60F01 heads. She kindly allowed me to do whatever I wanted and let me have free rein and I mean free rein. Since she gave me permission to show off her faceplates, here they are. I can't wait to see what she does with them. Her girls also inspired me to purchase my own Unoa (for a great price or she would never have come home to me.) who unfortunately I won't be working on for a while.

Ah...and yah I'm on commission hiatus until I finish all the outstanding ones.

Sullen Sun - and let me tell you....gold leaf takes forever and I don't know why I didn't just use paint. Probably because paint doesn't look the same.

Black Swan - Seems to be the favorite as far as I can tell. The blue iridescence in the feathers did't show up well in the pics.


White Swan - Like Black Swan, the gold iridescence here didn't pick up well but it is on all the ends of the feathers.

Ah, lucky dog to get an Unoa girl at a good price! I was extremely lucky to get an Unoa L-bi a while back (and a B-el faceplate as well), but I still long for one of the girls!

Do I need to say, btw, that all of those are awesome! I actually love the gold one - she reminds me of one of the alien species from Babylon 5

Thanks you guys. L-bi is super cute but even second hand he's so expensive. I actually ended up ordering some faceplates so while I won't have a full L-bi I might eventually have a hybrid tho I'm not sure if he will be a girl or guy. The current Unoa has a faceplate by another artist but I doubt I will be using it. Probably I'll just keep it somewhere safe or sell it.

The Unoa bodies are very beautifully sculpted but it's a lot easier to hybrid them then to find one for an affordable price. I was lucky to be the first one to respond to a post on the MP on DOA.

yeah, it's been a while since I've had them -___-.

Two of them went through some changes and I learned a lot working on them. Especially concerning chipping MSC which was why two of them got redone. I have to say I think I'm a lot more skilled now than when I first started working on them.

ah, and yes I know babylon 5 lol. I'm old enough and I was and am still very into sci-fi. No big surprise in the doll community.

Where did you get them from? I saw the nippon annex website and I'm going to order from there if I don't find one 2nd hand... it's just that $40 shipping is soooo much. For a faceplate! O__x

through a shopping service on DOA. If I had known I would combine with you! The order was placed a week ago. There is a service fee which is 9% of the total. I'm not sure what shipping will be yet but no matter what it will be expensive from Japan. If you purchase from MP the price is even more so since I was getting more than one it made more sense to order direct even with the shipping charges. I have a MnF chloe coming in. I'll just be selling off her head since I want to hybrid a Lusis head onto her body. I ordered a Sist plate to replace the current one on the full Sist I have and of course L-bi. I plan to have five little androids running around. Not all will be Unoas. One is a MnF Kyle.

uagh...yeah i dunno when i will have time to work on my own dolls but that's the plan.
