They are going for ridiculous prices on Ebay, so I'd guess reselling. >.>

There's been none at my Walmart yet and our TRU doesn't seem to have a clue. =/ They're also up on the Kmart site but out Kmart just closed like a week ago. XD'''''
Where did all these 1/6s come from?!

If Toys R Us has them on the website they'll turn up there and Target soon. Anything Mattel makes is in abundance so hold on and they'll be everywhere soon enough, especially as this is a new brand. I pre ordered my 100 Poses Ken thinking he'd sell out but he's everywhere. Keep an eye on Mattel's store http://shop.mattel.com/shop/index.jsp?c ... ter%20High to have them.

Keep your pants on, it's not a new iPhone or wind up hamster, I know a few stores who can't give theirs away.

These girls are too cute. I just picked up a couple at our local Wally World today. My daughter got Draculaura and I got Frankie Stein. They are very skinny girls but do have decent joint movement. I still like em though. My main gripe is that the hands come off way too easy. Draculaura's right hand comes off so easy I fear my daughter will lose it quickly. I have not opened Frankie so i don't know if she has the same problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I would love to collect the rest of the girls but not if they are gonna constantly lose their hands. I may not open Frankie and am considering returning her. I would return Draculaura but dd is already very attached to her.

Edited to change statement about posability

I have no idea how Mattel expects these dolls to hold up to child's play. The wrist peg is absolutely tiny! I'm constantly afraid i'll break them. And the hand do fall off quite easily, If this line of dolls sticks around I expect they will have to beef up the wrist joints.

I am still undecided about keeping Frankie and am seriously considering superguing the hands on Draculaura for my daughter. She is only four but loves Barbie, Moxie girls and now these Monster High dolls. I don't think she will mind if her doll has limited hand movement. The only thing that is keeping me from doing it is that it will make it nearly impossible to dress and undress the doll. I agree that Mattel needs to beef up the wrist joint if they expect this doll to stay around and for young girls to be able to play with them. Maybe we should email them a picture of an obitsu 27cm wrist joint?

Well it happened already. My poor daughter lost Draculauras hand and I have been searching everywhere while she cries. I am pretty sure that I want to return both dolls now if I can get my daughter to part with hers. She is so upset. I think i am going to complain to Mattel about the design.

ETA: Hand has been found but Miranda is not willing to part with her beloved doll, so we are gluing her hands in to prevent this from happening again. Doesn't Mattel do product testing before shipping these things to stores?

Checked Toys R Us again and they had a few (happily! Our store is terrible, they only carried one SIS doll... they've also sold figures I had on preorder, but that's a different issue) so I got the set with Cleo and Deuce. I really only wanted Deuce, but both look much better in real life anyway.

I'm kind of surprised to hear that about the hands, my Cleo's aren't loose at all. If I tug on her hand, her arm comes apart from the elbow first. Her pieces are all very snug, but one of Deuce's arms is a little loose. Both dolls have a fair amount of seam lines and whatnot, so I'd imagine the size of some of the pegs holding the limbs in varies. I was also afraid to order them online because someone had complained about spotted faces, so methinks quality control isn't all it could be.

They could really afford do beef up those girl's wrists though... they're so tiny a Busou Shinki hand won't fit in, and those are 1/8! =# If you're finding them too loose, but still want to keep the doll and the posability, you could coat the pegs in some kind of clearcoat/clear nail polish/wrap with masking tape. That's not a very satisfying solution for a playline doll, though. I guess they were working so hard to market them to tweens that they forgot their usual target demographic.

Overall I'm happy with them, though. I wish that Deuce had wrist joints (he has ankle joints instead, for some reason) but his hand sculpt is so nice I'm willing to be lenient. They look better than my Neo Goh's hands. His whole body is well sculpted and detailed. I'm making him a fur wig though, I'm not in love with the plastic scales. And I've already redone Cleo's eyes, she was wall-eyed and not mummy-ish enough for my taste. As with Bratz, the sculpted eye area is smaller than what they've painted.

What kinda blows my mind is that the age limit on the box is 6 and up. I honestly believe that the average 6 year old would demolish one of these dolls quite easily.

On the plus side though, my draculaura look really adorable in bratz clothing :D Finally I have a super cute girl to wear all the tiny little bratz clothes I have lying around.

If the hands are coming off that easily there may be a recall soon because some kid choked on one.

A bit of masking tape on a post has usually done the trick for me. A couple of my Juku girls are a bit loose in the wrist depo. If there's a recall they won't be allowed to post them on Ebay but at least they're trying to cover their butt with ages 6 and up. I'd say it's up to the parent to be attentive enough to know if their kid still puts things in their mouth. Then again Mattel's quality control let the lead paint out :/ Could this be what all the fuss against Bratz was about?

Well I'd like to see some user pics before I think about adding one to my website. We're implementing the "Gotta have a goooooooood reason" law before I add to the hoard as there's nowhere to put anyone.
