The ladder on my bed broke. I almost got hurt getting back into bed this morning...I have a lowered loft bed and my ladder which I've had since I was eight just started to give out.

I'm still up in Minnesota, my grandma has been moved to hospice and I'm stuck in a terrible have no idea what's going on limbo, as to wether or not I should stay here or go back home. I also just got a call from the boyfriend who has informed me that Spike needs to be put down today, he hasn't eaten anything since I left which makes it now 3 days and the vet suggests that anything beyond that and he would starve to death. So his Lymphoma has finally taken over his body enough that he no longer can do anything. And I can't be there with both of them when it happens. This is by far the worst week of my life.

I'm so sorry Almy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

lovelovekitty - I don't know if this is something that's now very frowned upon, but when we were babies my dad used to rub a little scotch or whiskey on our gums when we were teething. My one grandma swears by rum and she had six kids. Good luck.
