Haha thanks Trethowan. My main problem (although fear of failure is always a contributing factor) is that I take on too many projects and then either don't have the time or energy to work on them. I'm slowly getting better but it's a slow process.

I have a dozen projects at any given time going on too. I've taken to writing them on a bulletin board and rewarding myself when I've finished one. Some of it is multi tasking like knitting while watching TV and finding the repetitive task lets my mind reset and think of new ideas. Sometimes you have to make the energy and remind yourself how good a finished thing feels.

Hey! They keep mentioning Sailor Moon on the new episode of The Big Bang Theory!(well it's a cosplayer dressed up as Sailor Moon that keep mentioning, but it is still totally cool)!

I do it too. I finally had to make a list of things and I only work on the top three items on my list. It's my 2012 Goals and Deadlines list. So far I'm doing okay on my main deadlines but my Japanese work is falling a little behind.

DollyKim: Your pie plate at first reminded of Okay Guy but it does look a lot like a certain doll. ;)
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

It's interesting that several people are writing about having trouble finishing projects. Me, too, and we're not alone, evidently.
I get a newsletter from Dollmaker's Journey, which is about making cloth dolls. One of the women who puts it together made a resolution that 2012 was going to be her year to finish things that she hadn't before she started anything new. I thought it was a great idea, so I adopted it...sort of. At least I'm committed to finishing things that have been hanging around for a while along with the new. I have a list, too. It feels really great to cross something off when I'm finished.

Oh don't get me started on having trouble finishing projects...

My list:
- Give Wendy a new face-up and new eyes
- make my dolls clothes!!! all of them still need clothes!!!
- Repaint three MH dolls
- build a dollhouse for my 1/4 dolls
- rearrange my hobby room and get all my Pam dolls back on the shelves

It seems like such a short list but I just can't find the time and the energy... but starting today I have one week off yay!!!

I'd say do your hobby room done and anything that needs to go on to shelves first. That will make it easier to do all the other things.

I never have a specific order, I just go with what I feel like doing, dolls, sewing, scanning books, splitting atoms, so I'm harnessing my energy and getting stuff done.
