And how on earth am I going to lay the wood floors around the existing railings.

By making a paper pattern? Cut a piece of paper a little bigger than the dimensions of the room. Lay the paper down on the floor and push it all the way to the edges, press it in to corners and get it to take the shape as best you can. Score where the edges are, push a pencil in to them if you need to. Pull out the paper, trim off the excess, then check and see if it fits.

If the floor plan is complicated you might need to do several pieces and match up the seams.

Finally home after a two week trip out to Forida. Bluh. Fried from all that driving. Went on two ghost tours in St. Augustine and SAvnnah and I caught some creappy stuff.

Beloved: *pathetic whine*
M: You're the one who set the alarm for 9 o'clock!
B: *sleepily* I changed my mind.
M: Do you want me to reset it?

M: What time do you want me to reset it?

M: I don't think there's a setting for "mmm" o'clock. Give me a number, please.
