New boy is becoming increasingly expensive...

1st there was the cost of just buying him, then his 1st outfit, then a couple of pairs of eyes, then his wig, then some pink fluffy bunny slippers, and then his casual outfit! Sheesh - at this rate he'll have more clothes than I do by the end of the year!

That's part of why I'm staying in Obitsu/Mattle/playline dolls territory. I simply do not have the money to pay for more expensive dolls and their accessories @_@

Less than a year ago I said I'd never spend more than $40 on a doll XD

... I own at least $1000 worth of BJDs right now... it's slightly frightening. And definitely something I am NOT telling my parents XD

Hehe! Luckily my father would be a hypocrite to tell me off for my hobbies when his currently include about 2.5 motorbikes dissasembled around the family house... He swears he's only building one!

Yeah new guy (still nameless) now has a bathrobe, and a sparkly hoody... And his head hasn't even arrived yet!

...And he's been giving me meaningful looks about a kimono... I'm not sure where I can find one at that size! 72cm = awkward...

I took a simple pattern and just had to make a facing for the collar and neckline because I hate rolling curved hems.
eh, it'll wear better this way.

Generally I don't like to spend too much on stuff for any particular doll, now I will spoil for things like Jareth's necklace, Rian's puppets, or the occasional uniform. The only exception is Xavier who can have what ever he wants but he respects it and never wants that much. He got the $$ silicone eyes, everyone else has been happy with random or plastic.

This is why I'm gonna go thrifting for cheap dollieh scale fabrics for when my Mei comes home and if my mom has it her way she'll be the only MSD in the house....

Yeah that plan's probably already down the sh*tter but I'm going one dollieh at a time....All this one is demanding currently is a few wigs in different colors and combat boots of some type. That I can supply.....The shoes and at least one wig with a few colors mixed in....
