A Backyard Excursion

Postby Yanagi-sen » Sun Jul 04, 2010 9:05 am

I got inspired this morning. I looked outside and it was so pretty... I decided the boys would probably like to take a short adventure...

Image

Nagi: Riou... are you busy?
Riou: Not really... why do you ask?

Image

Nagi: We've been cooped up for a while, and it looks really nice out. I thought it would be nice to go outside for a bit.
Riou: Hmm... some fresh air would be nice.

Image

Riou: What do you have in mind?
Nagi: It's a surprise...

Image

Riou: Oh... we haven't been out here before.
Nagi: I know. I asked Yannie, she said it's okay as long as we don't go swimming.

Image

Nagi: Wow, everything is so big out here.
Riou: I know...

Image

Riou: Aren't there supposed to be fish in here?
Nagi: Yeah; Tasuki, Kyou, and Shin.
Riou: I wonder where they are...

Image

Nagi: Help me spread out the blanket.
Riou: Okay.

Image

Nagi: It's nice out here.
Riou: A little hot in the sun maybe...
Nagi: Oh, I don't want you to burn... lets go over on the other side, there's some shade there.

Image

Nagi: Better?
Riou: Much, thank you.

Image

*after some cuddle time*
"Hey! Guys!"

Image

Momiji: Can we come out too?
Touda: Yeah! What he said!
Nagi: Ah... sure.

Image

Touda: oooooooh!!!!!! *runs for pond*
Momiji: *catch* Oh no you don't! Those lily pads are NOT going to hold you.
Touda: aaawe!!!! -_-;
Nagi: Come on over here.

Image

Nagi: Have a seat.
Momiji: oooh it's pretty over here.
Touda: Wazzat?
Riou: Cattails.

Image

Touda: Cat tails? But... they don't look like Aiko.
Riou: Cattails are a plant.
Nagi: So much for our quiet time...
Momiji: sorry...

You know, it scares me how much Momiji looks like the manga character! I don't think I've ever seen such a perfect doll to character match short of a minimee. And I do believe I see one of the fish in that last photo - or is it something else just under the water?

This was a lovely story. I especially loved the blanket being carried, so cute.

leopardessmoon: Thank you. I put in the pond last year. I'm gradually adding to the landscaping around, and IN it. Momiji IS such a cutie.

Greyhaunt: I have to thank Kiki-chan for helping me find the right sculpt for Momiji. And that particular outfit was made for him by Zirconmermaid. ^__^

richila: Thank you. The blanket was made by one of my students for the boys.

Lovely story! So much for the solitude and quiet, lol. I can't believe you put that pond in yourself. I'd love a pond, but we have raccoons and they always eat any fish I have anywhere.

Dark Angel: isn't he a cutey? can be a bit of a brat though...

maywong: LOL, they better not. I don't want to have to take them apart so everything can dry out.

cirquemom: It took a bit of work, but has been soooo worth it. I was worried about raccoons and herons... but they don't seem interested with the real creek only 50 yds away. I did get cheap fish to test out the 'no fishing' theory. So far, so good. Even without fish, it is lovely to listen to the waterfall and I'm looking forward to getting more plants.

I'm not sure which I liked more - the story, the dolls or the pond!
