That helps, outside of looking for Venus and Robecca at the stores and not caring much if I do find them I have everything else I think I'll be wanting on pre order and can get ahead of things like I did with the Re Ment. It's mostly about outfits for me now.

On the reroot side the red I bought for Ghoulia is too orange and tomato so it might go to my last spare Frankie so I won't be doing any more Ice Princesses. That's what it's come down to, what to do so I can get rid of the extras while making them pretty.

*The Ghoulias agreed to swap hair, DT's warm face works with the red. But still no match for Clawdeen and Cleo to do Ice Princesses. Shouldn't rerooting be more fun?

DollyKim: can i trouble you to give me the extremely short version of "how is it that re-rooting is done" ? i am so confused about how dollie hair gets re-rooted.

I see dollie one day in pictures, hair is one color. I see dollie next, hair is snipped off and some new hair is all on. When dollie is finished dollie is all beautiful with this long new brushable glorious hair. I do this: O_O.

I have no clue even what hair everyone is buying to do the re-root jobs.

I can help out on this, even though I've yet to do a re-root myself. Basically, you cut a doll's hair off as close as you can to her scalp, then you go in with tweezers through the neck hole and pull out the plugs of hair. From there, you can do re-roots a few different ways. There's the needle and thread method, the punch method, and I think one more way. There are a bunch of tutorials out there, even one on Obitsu/Parabox's website. I've only found one place to buy Doll Hair from, and that's DollyHair.com, though you can use other types.

Basically, for needle and thread re-rooting, you take some hair, knot it after threading it, and then, going through the neck-hole of the head, go through one of the holes. Snip the thread at the needle, rinse and repeat a bunch. Hope that's what you were looking for!
Here's a link about it: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5328

And some re-rooting links out: (I found them here).

What about having them have pastel rainbow for their colored streaks?

I am currently "pulling out the plugs" as you put it. For me it's more like scraping around on the inside of the scalp until all the short bits of hair that are left retract into the head; then you can pull the giant clump of hair fuzz generated out with the tweezers.

I have neon rainbow, and no desire to actively search for any other colors than what I have BUT I would go matching skin tone with white highlights (Ice Princess) because the first batch I did like that sold well and the pictures still get lots of hits. It's how can I rid myself of extra Monsters and turn a profit because anything worth doing is worth doing for money.

I'm guessing my brain injury has repetitive things like rooting or knitting as soothing, when I feel like doing it, that's why I don't do it for hire, just when I can. If I'm going to do something like the IPs I don't plan to be done until closer to the holiday time, the last three paid for all my gifts to myself :)
