Spoonflower sounds great, BUT I have yet to try it because I want the lightest weight fabric possible and can never figure out which fabric to choose for my order so that I get the lightest possible weight, which makes a nice finish and won't be too stiff for tiny's.

I ordered some really cute prints from a website - they were Japanese fabrics and the site had a bumble bee motif but I am drawing a blank on the name-- anyway- the fabrics were SO HEAVY weight and I just never used them.

I'd really like to try spoonflower but am just at a loss as to which fabric to choose to print on.

Can anyone with Spoonflower experience advise me as to what fabric works best for the tinies?

If you want to get crazy with the camo or make real functional raingear or other outdoorsy stuff http://www.rockywoods.com
http://www.questoutfitters.com for more outdoor stuff and sometimes they have interesting remnants.

The outdoor folks seem like a crazy idea for scale sewing, but they cater to ultralightweight backpackers, so some of their material is very lightweight.

And http://www.denverfabrics.com for some really nice silks and wools. Somewhere in a box in a closet (story of my life) I've a scrap of tangerine silk twill that would make the BEST elegant formal dress.
