My eyes... my EYES... MY EYES!!! (which you can see in my thread in the custom creations section)

I shaped and sculpted a bunch of varying sizes with both textured and untextured irises and did my first casting into a silicone mold today.

The ones without the textured irises turned out fine, but the tiny details on the textured irises didn't all come out ok... the striations broke on some of them. Going to try again tomorrow using a mold release this time. The directions said that it wasn't necessarily needed over poly clay and I was afraid the liquid would pool in the cracks and obscure the detail, but it could have the opposite effect.

While waiting for the 2nd mold to cure, going to try using the imperfect cast I just made. Should be good for the non-textured iris eyeballs at least.

Haruka and Kaname officially have highschool uniforms. Finishing the last details will need smaller things like tiny buttons. Kaname needs several small gold buttons on his shirt and Haruka needs a big black bow on the bust of her shirt. The skirt...I found at the flea market and it screamed school girl.

Well, I'm pretty much finished with the making and styling of Venias... now I just have to do the photostory of him officially being added to the herd...

Finished rooting the head on my little mermaid makeover project. My fingers hurt so bad now >.< I'm gonna see if I can start the face today but I have a bunch of plushy dolls I need to work on first. We'll see how productive the day is.

haha... I made a polymer clay cake for my dolls. It is the ugliest little cake you've ever seen so I've decided one of the boys will have made it. I can see a bunch of college kids making a pretty rough looking cake. :-p
