Nightgown, dressing gown

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Nightgown, dressing gown

Based on a 1941 McCalls British sewing pattern. Cotton voile.

It could have a snap or button closing instead of a sash

There is an attached hood. It is too small, a common problem when I try to make up a hood.

The nightgown is based on a vintage slip pattern
(I really need to get around to trying to reduce the face/body contrast!)

That's just lovely! I like it both ways, with the (hypothetical) button and the sash. If it were buttoned it could even be a lovely evening jacket. <3

Really nice gown. Personally I like the sash, it gives it a bit of a late 19th century feel (can't remember the name of the fashion at the moment).

Here's a terrible phot of my inspiration for the dressing gown. I skipped the fancy back panel.
From Blueprints of Fashion
And between my skinny doll and my layout of the princess seams, I did not have enough real estate on the side front panel for the pockets. Boo hoo.

It turned out really well.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@
